I am to be a part of the founding team at High Tech Middle Mesa! Prior to joining the HTM Mesa community, I was the director at High Tech Middle North County and the School Leadership Resident at High Tech Middle Chula Vista. I am passionate about providing all students with equitable access to learning that is both academically rigorous and connected to the real world and so I am excited to learn from the amazing students, teachers and leaders here. Before moving to California, I spent 6 years as a teacher and most recently the Director of Curriculum Innovation and Public Policy at Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy in Washington, DC. Prior to moving to DC, I worked at the Match Public Charter School in Boston.
I have always loved learning and explored my passions through undergraduate work in Classics at Boston College and graduate work in Ethics, Peace Studies, and Global Affairs at American University. I also recently co-created an organization called Education to Save the World which is committed to helping educators transform schools to meet the demands of the 21st century. Working with young people has always been a source of joy for me as I love both teaching and learning from young people. I am looking forward to a year full of new ideas and experiences at High Tech! |
